The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" Pearlescent 1/4 Filter is designed to subtly soften contrast and reduce sharpness, making it ideal for digital cinematography. It helps create a flattering image by gently diminishing the appearance of skin imperfections and adding a smooth, glowing halation around highlights. The 1/4 strength offers a mild diffusion effect, making it suitable for beauty shots and scenes requiring a natural, cinematic look.
This filter is part of Tiffen's Pearlescent series, with available strengths including 1/8, 1/2, 1, and 2—each offering a progressively stronger effect.
Crafted using Tiffen’s proprietary ColorCore® technology, the filter substrate is laminated between two pieces of optical-grade glass and polished to a flatness of 1/10,000th of an inch, ensuring consistency and precision.
