RENT TRP Worldwide 8x8' China Silk Fabric, White Features
All fabrics were tested in a black chamber with an incandescent light source at one end and the fabric positioned 2/3 of the way between the source and the digital light meter.
• 6'x6' Butterflies measure approximately 5'8" x 5'8"
• 8'x8' Butterflies measure approximately 7'8" x 7'8"
• 12'x12' Butterflies measure approximately 11'8" x 11'8"
• 20'x20' Butterflies measure approximately 19'8" x 19'8"
• 20'x20' Bobbinets measure approximately 19'6" x 19'6"
Silks: Matthews offers three types of silk in both white and black: Artificial Silk, China Silk, and 1/4 Stop Silk. While the properties of each vary, they essentially all have the same purpose, which is to be used for medium diffusion at varying degrees.
• White Artificial Silk offers the most diffusion at a light loss of 1.6 stops with a significant amount of ambient bounce (its counterpart, Black Silk, offers no ambient bounce).
• China Silk has 1 stop light loss.
• 1/4 Stop Silk has about 0.6 stops light loss.
The safety characteristics of each of these silks vary.
