RENT ARRI FF5 Studio Follow Focus System Features
The ARRI Follow Focus FF5-HD is a completely modular, film-style follow focus system designed specifically for digital productions. Engineered for lenses with smaller diameter focus barrels, the FF5-HD features a longer swing arm that ensures proper gear positioning on the focus ring and provides a lower gear ratio. This allows for more precise focus pulls on lenses with smaller diameters or compressed focus scales.
The FF5-HD includes an integral snap-on mechanism that locks onto 15mm lightweight support rods and can be adapted for use with ARRI standard 15mm or 19mm bridgeplate support systems. ARRI follow focus drive gears can be mounted on either side of the swing arm, offering maximum mounting flexibility.
All ARRI gears are crafted from low-friction Delrin for smooth operation and utilize precise, self-centering stainless steel couplings to eliminate runout and wear.
The FF5-HD is also compatible with all ARRI FF-4 Follow Focus accessories. With both right and left focus knobs and a longer body, it allows full operation from either side of the camera, including use with ENG lenses. An optional extension is available to clear even the largest matteboxes.
Additional accessories include short and long focus whips for extended operator reach and a focus crank for smooth, fast snap zooms.
