RENT Angenieux Optimo 28-76mm T2.6 S35 Zoom Lens Kit for PL Mount Features
The optical quality of the Optimo series makes them a competitive rival against the best prime lenses at equivalent focal lengths. At 28-76mm, this lens is ideal for covering wide to mid-zoom focal length. The Optimo 28-76mm T2.6 lens weighs 4.2 lbs and has a front diameter of 114mm.
The Angenieux Optimo 28-76mm is a lightweight, high-performance zoom lens designed for Super35-sized sensors, equipped with a PL mount. The rear optical assembly supports interchangeable mounts, allowing conversion from PL to Panavision or Canon EF (mounts sold separately).
This version ships with a PL mount and is optimized for Super35 coverage. It offers a fast T2.6 aperture, a close focus distance of 2 feet, and weighs just 4.2 pounds (1.9 kg). The 114mm front diameter is compatible with standard cinema-style matte boxes. The lens includes independent manual control rings for focus, iris, and zoom, each featuring cinema-standard 0.8 gear teeth for seamless integration with follow focus and lens control systems.
Interchangeable Lens Mounts
This lens comes pre-installed with a PL mount, but it can be easily swapped to Panavision or Canon EF mounts (available separately).
It maintains optical efficiency, with a light transmission loss of only 1/10 of a stop. The T2.6 aperture closely matches many standard Super35 prime lenses, allowing consistent lighting setups across your shots—especially beneficial when switching between primes and zooms.
Manual Lens Control Rings
Equipped with independent manual rings for focus, iris, and zoom, each control ring features industry-standard 0.8 pitch gears, ensuring compatibility with most professional accessories.
114mm Front Diameter
This lens uses the common 114mm front diameter, standard across the Optimo lens series, making it easy to swap matte boxes and filters between lenses without needing step-up rings or adapters.
Temperature Stability
The Optimo series is engineered for thermal stability, helping to reduce focus drift and the need for frequent re-collimation due to temperature changes. This ensures more reliable performance during long shoot days or environmental shifts.
