RENT Angenieux Optimo Ultra 12x 36-435mm T4.2 FF/VV Cine Zoom Lens, PL Mount Features
Completely new optical design to enable full-frame coverage. Well-controlled optical performance at each focal length and focus distance, with an excellent balance between contrast and resolution, resulting in an appealing cinematic look. Superb image quality even at open aperture, making it comparable to “variable primes.”
Low distortion, no ramping, minimal breathing, and extremely fast for a 12x zoom ratio. Efficient use of aspherical elements helps minimize color fringing.
Very short MOD:
• 1.22 m / 4' in S35
• 1.24 m / 4'1" in Ultra S35
• FF/VV: Up to 5.0'
New mechanical design, completely re-engineered compared to previous models (24-290 & 28-340). Improved mechanical stability and serviceability. Moving components have been lightened, and airflow has been enhanced to reduce dust intake, aided by added dust traps.
The focus ring is precise and ergonomic, with a scale rotation of 321 degree, the largest in the industry, and over 70 focus marks. Focus marking rings are user-changeable, with focusing scales available in either feet or metric.
Mechanical components are built from lightweight materials with a dedicated anti-abrasion coating. The lens is adapted for extreme shooting environments, featuring passive athermalization that operates from -20 degree C to +40 degree C.
PL mount lens, also compatible with LPL mount. Additional lens mounts will be available.
Accessories include a carrying handle and front protective glass. For use with ARRI FF4 & FF5 Follow-Focus systems, ARRI FF Gear 0.8 Module, 43 Tooth, 45mm (K2.0020752) is recommended.
